The W's got into a tussle over a few crumbs that landed on the floor. Winnie is very 'food territorial' and her fangs came out and she punctured Willie's shoulder. It got infected, and after a trip to the vet and a course of antibiotics, Willie is on the mend.
Unfortunately, they had to shave a big patch of Willie's hair. The wound was weeping and it has been very sunny here so I got some volunteer t-shirts from my husband for the little boy to wear. He seems to like them!
He will have to wear them until his hair starts to grow back because, since their skin never sees the light of day, chow chows can get sunburned very easily.
