Easter Sugar Cookies

I made cookies for my daughter to take to work yesterday.  She requested these decadent frosted sugar cookies.
This recipe calls for almond paste which makes them very dense and flavorful.

You can find the recipe here:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2010/08/best-cookies-and-bit-of-halloween.html

Get out your colored sugars and have some fun.

My daughter said people were eating them like M&M's.  I can't even imagine!  They are very rich.

The cold front is moving in!  It was 55 when I woke up at 4:30 am and it is 30 degrees at 9:45.  And it is sleeting!

They look beautiful. I have to take my MIL to Wegman's on Friday for ingredients for her Passover Seder and I will add almond paste to my Wegman's list. I love that store. We are also having an Easter dinner the day after. All holidays revolve around food, don't they?
They sure look like a delicious treat, happy coming Easter!

Sugar cookies are dangerously delicious :-) I once had a neighbor that always baked these (UI'm not sure if she had almond paste though) around Christmas and easter. She made one big cookie jar for her famiuly and one just as big just for me :-) :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

I love Easter colors, Easter eggs, cupcakes, cakes and baskets.

I know for sure, I could eat 6 of those cookies!

*In May, we go RV traveling again. Can hardly wait!

My poor family in Vermont were finally welcoming Spring and now it's snowing, sleeting, & flooding there. Those cookies look awesome. I would be one of the ones eating them like M&Ms!

These look delicious and colorful! :-) We just got sleet the other day too. Today it's only 45, but hopefully 70 on Saturday.
