Frozen

Sorry for the late post but on the last day of 2015, we finally got a bit of winter.

And our electricity went out for 15 straight hours.  Even the cold loving person that I am is frozen!

Well, that was rude! Thank goodness you have such a big, fluffy Teddy to curl up with! I hope you have a generator - 15 hours is pushing it on the fridge/freezer front.

Oh gosh. Hope you didn't suffer too much. People in WA State are having quite a time of it with the heavy snows. We haven't had that in years so there are many evergreen trees falling on power lines, houses, cars, people; unable to bear up under the weight of the snow. The powere companies have been flying over the high tension lines with helicopters which knock a lot of the snow off the lines and nearby trees. Still, many people have been out of power for days in eastern WA and northern ID. Don't know how western Montana is bearing up. Where we live, in the semi-arid wheatlands near mid state, we don't have enough treees to worry about too much. But one of our hunters fell in a river and froze to death this week. So tragic...leaving a wife and two children. We all walk a precarious path in life, don't we? Gives one pause. Love and health to you and your family. Come over and have a virtual hot drink of something and a scone when you have a minute. Kathie in Odessa, WA

15 hours!? We would certainly freeze to the bone over here, even though we've had a ridiculously mild winter. I hope you are all warmed up by now.
Btw, I have loved your latest food posts, looking scrumptious as usual!

15 hours without power is not fun. We know winter is heading our way sometime but can't see it yet with it getting to 68 degrees today in NC. If we can get the rain to stop, that would be nice.

glad your winter has arrived, so has our summer I could roll in your ice.
15 hours no electricity is a tad harsh hope all your freezer food survived and you kept warm
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Your new year has begun and ours will be here in another..2 hours and 57 minutes..okay 58 minutes. Our neighbors party is in full swing..but it's so cold outside that all that is in their back is lights and balloons. Everyone else is inside. :)
A quiet peaceful day today and here is hoping that 2016 will follow suit. Not likely with the election in full swing. Dreading it..I really am.

It is COLD here too. Wonderful but no snow in our mountains. Hopefully your Winter has finally arrived. Have a wonderful New Years Day, Joyce.
Big hugs!!

You were warm for so long, now you've gone to the other extreme. Why can't we ever have a happy medium, ha. Scary with no electricity, hope you have some backups to keep warm and keep the food good.

Gosh, be careful what you wish for, eh? I hope all is well now. Happy New Year, Joyce!
