The Pumpkin Lifter

On our travels through the country last weekend, we spotted this place.

Pumpkins are a bit scarce this year because of the drought.  But we found some nice big ones anyway.

The Blog Tech sure comes in handy sometimes.

I bought lots of corn and cooked it and froze it for winter.

This guy came to visit us to see what all the fuss was about.

I'm checking out all the farmer's markets on the roadsides to New Braunfels. I need to buy some corn on the cob too. In fact, I'm going to enlist David to go with me. Pumpkins won't be out here for 2 more weeks when the County Fairs start in Texas. I hope there will be some big ones.

Still no pumpkins in our stroes and no one grow them around here. I forgot to sow any so I'll have to wait until they show in the stores.

Have a great day!

Christer.

We've had such a dry summer, it will be interesting to see what the pumpkin crop looks like this year. It's so exciting to see pumpkins - FALL!
