A Fall Festival With the W's

We took the W's in their new car for their first festival yesterday.  They had never been in any car together so this was a first.  We just bought a big new car to give them room to move around and hopefully keep Winnie from getting car sick.  She has had this problem since she was a brand new puppy and she hates getting in the car.  They settled down quickly and slept most of the way to the festival. As soon as we got them out of the car, they were excited to explore a new place. A good start.

The town was decorated for Fall.

You can spend the night in this historic hotel.

The locals were hanging out enjoying the scene.

The entire town was shut down for the festival.

Winnie and Willie were very excited.

It seemed as though everyone at the festival petted them at least once.

Willie checked out every booth.

I did not point out these weird christian, pet sized coffins to either of them!

 Signs.

 Wreathes.

 More signs, these were cute.

Scarves that made me feel guilty that I rarely knit anymore.

I was tempted to buy the witch sign but navigating a festival with a camera in one hand and a puppy leash in the other, limits one's festival enjoyment.

And this one was getting more crowded by the minute.

A potter at work.

I love a good banjo and this group was wonderful.

This guy was smoking pork in his homemade smoker.

The pups met lots of dogs too.  They really enjoyed the festival and were very friendly to everyone they met both beasts and humans. They were given treats by a few vendors and picked up a few tasty morsels dropped by the festival visitors.

We had a nice walk back to the car and enjoyed all of the decorated houses along the way. The puppies got in the car with little resistance and immediately passed out. They slept the whole way back until we were a few miles from home. That's when Willie woke up and barfed and Winnie ate it.  And then Winnie barfed too.

Well, apart from the barf, sounds like a nice outing!
Those festivals always look as so much fun!

Have a great day!

This is similar to Trade Days. The town shuts down the three streets around the city park. There are vendors, music, plays, etc. It's so wonderful to have weekend outings like this. The puppies looked like they enjoyed themselves.
It is festival weekend here also. Good weather, lots to see and eat and an abundance of dogs. I am sure the W's were a big hit with the crowd at your fun day.

I almost threw up at barfing. I would have barfed if I were there. You are not raising Christian pets? (sarcasm font) I love a good festival!

Really lovely. I particularly love the fact that it says "Celebrate Autumn" on that banner.
Is it terrible I completely laughed out loud about the barfing? I have cats, barf is a way of life here. Lovely festival, we have a harvest Fest here but it doesn't draw a lot of crafters, wish it were like the one you attended. So many things to look at.
