We had a couple of warm summer-like days, so to boost everyone's spirits, I made them their first summer-like food. Sliders were on the menu.
First, I baked trays of King's Hawaiin rolls. These are the perfect rolls for sliders.
It's easy to make a large amount of sliders if you use my sheet pan method. Sprinkle a cookie sheet with dried onions.
Press 3 lbs of ground beef on top of the onions.
Sprinkle with seasoned salt. I used Montreal Steak Seasoning. Bake these at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Cut the meat into 2"X2" pieces, big enough to fit on the buns.
Place either shredded cheddar or American cheese on each slider and top with a squeeze of ketchup and yellow mustard, then add dill pickle chips.
I made them their favorite dill macaroni salad too. It's funny because as much food as I give away, this is the meal that was most raved about.
I made giant chocolate chip cookies.
And a churro bundt cake. A bit of Summer for everyone though snow is in our forecast for this week.
