The Fauci Ouchie

I got my first shot! And guess what?  I couldn't even feel it.  So, if you are a trypanophobic (someone that has the extreme fear of medical procedures involving injections or hypodermic needles),  lose that fear! I simply felt nothing at all.
What I did feel was very good.  It is definitely the light at the end of the tunnel.

It was so well organized and the pharmacist and his staff were wonderful. I walked away with my second appointment scheduled in March.

So maybe soon you can leave your thrones and venture back out into the world again.

But we will still be taking precautions for a very long time.

We might never be able to return to things exactly the way they used to be, but with precautions, we should be able to get back to near normal.

So follow the simple rules laid out by the experts. Listen to SCIENCE.

And never get too close to me again.

I am still waiting, next group . Remind people after shot still need masks, I hear people think now no more masks!
Glad you got your shot! I'm probably at least 2 or 3 months away from being able to get mine here in Canada. Love that toilet paper throne!

I'm sched'd for the Moderna vaccine at a Marc's pharmacy today. (Good enough for Kamala/Fauci - good enuf for moi!) Be still my heart!

Got my first Moderna shot on January 28th, getting the 2nd one on February 25th! Didn't feel a thing and my arm was only slightly tender the next day! Just like the ole flu shot. Will be interesting to see how the 2nd one goes ... it may [or may not] cause a bit more of a reaction. Have Tylenol handy!
Even after having the shots, we still need to wear the masks and, especially, if you are around folks who refuse to get the vaccine!
I have to get my shot from my allergist and sit for at least an hour so he can monitor me. So, it ight be two months before I get mine.

Nice! I have no clue when I'll get one. I'm not old enough (yay?), no health issues (yay!), retired so don't need to be out and about much, and way to go Iowa - no plans or way to sign up and our county got a whopping 100 doses. To top it off, our governor dropped all mask and occupancy mandates this week. She simply says "trust people to do the right thing", otherwise stay home.
Congratulations!

I think I'll be able to take my first shot some time before midsummer.

Have a great day!

Christer.

I've noticed on TV that when people get shots, they don't even flinch. They must be using very thin needles.

And, I posted a meme yesterday that could be a t-shirt.
"I'm excited that the phrase "Get the f**k away from me" is no longer rude, but a public service announcement."

Good for you! We’ve had both doses here, with no side effects other than that soreness at the injection site. Yes, we’ll soon be able to join the general public again.....mask wearing, social distancing, hand washing, and any other appropriate precautions! Quite willing to do that as long as it takes!

Happy for you. Hopefully this will be coming soon to a neighborhood near me. When i get an injection, i just try not to look. They don't hurt. During the winter i like wearing a mask. It keeps my face warm. I will probably be wearing them for a while yet.

No shot for me for awhile. That's okay, I can wait. Love that toilet paper throne. Thank God there is no longer a TP shortage, but if there was, there would finally be a use for all those disgusting Trump flags.
