Winnie's 5th Birthday

Winnie turned 5 yesterday.  How quickly the years pass.  My kids and their spouses came over for a little party. It was so nice to see The Blog Tech and his wife who have recently returned from his summer internship in Philly.  He has one week until he starts his federal internship.  He had to go through an intense security check by the government before he could start but now he is ready to go.

I made a bunch of cookies for these cookie munchers. This is  a cornbread cookie and it's topped with a scoop of vanilla buttercream to look like a pat of butter and then it has honey lightly drizzled over it. They were a big hit.

Vanilla sugar cookies and frosted oatmeal cookies.

Veggie cups with blue cheese dressing.

Pate' with baguette slices and German pickled mustard eggs and onions.

I pulled out the pumpkin plates.

I also made my kids favorite thumbprint cookies with chocolate frosting.

Everyone was very happy to see pepper and tomato/Chesapeake Bay seasoned individual mac and cheese cups.

I made a platter of old fashioned rye toasts with cheese and bacon.

Warm ham sliders with Swiss, ham and truffle mustard.

Bacon wrapped Litl' Smokies with brown sugar glaze.

Willie had a good old time.  This boy loves a party!

Happy birthday my beautiful girl.

Gosh that has gone by fast. I kept scrolling waiting to see the party food for the pups. No doubt tit bits were offered.
