Snow On The Mountain

I got up at 4:00 am this morning and there was a slight drizzle and it was very warm.  About 20 minutes later, the winds started blowing and I quickly realized that I had to take the decorations down on the porch. Suddenly, the drizzle turned to snow and within 30 minutes, we had an accumulation.  Right now, it is howling and snowing hard.  I have fires in the fireplaces and am about to make soup and bread.  No one is going anywhere today.

Enjoy the blizzard! It's great to be storm-stayed safe at home.

Finally, snow for the holidays! I love a white ground cover. It's raining here. The temperatures are predicted to drop tonight...maybe I'll have snow too!

Sounds lovely soup on a snowy day! Here in RI 56 and sprinkling and breezy that is all.
9F degrees here in Alabama. I will make a pot of blackeyed peas today.

Thank the Goddess we didn't get anything but the cold down here in south central Texas. I did hear something about Houston getting some snow but then Houston is always wet so it didn't surprise me much.
