The Halloween Giveaway Straight from Salem

Ok...this is a tough one. I want to keep it!!! But I am giving it away in the spirit of Halloween....a Halloween sacrifice if you will. I bought this in Salem on my recent trip. This is a very well made apron and witch hat. The apron comes with it's own towel which is attached to the apron with a button. I have included a Salem dish towel.

You can use this all year long. The daughter is not included in the giveaway at this time. However, that could change at any moment.

And to complete the outfit, I am also including this pair of vintage looking earrings. So, to enter the giveaway, join as a follower. If you are already a follower, mention the giveaway on your blog or add the button on your sidebar. Also, leave a comment naming the scariest movie you have ever seen. Mine is "Don't Look Now". I will draw the winner using a random number draw on Wednesday morning at 9:00am. Good Luck!

The winner of the Fall trip basket is: The Frog Queen

Congrats and leave a comment telling me how to contact you!
It was really fun hearing about your favorite small towns and now I have a list of new places to visit.

I thought you might enjoy seeing the view from my kitchen window.

Also, if you are interested in a killer salsa recipe, check the next post.

That Frog Queen is a lucky lady! Congratulations! I hope the one that wins this outfit will show a picture fully dressed in this blog :-)
Have a great day now!

My scariest movie was Dead Silence. I really really don't like dolls! possessed dolls = nightmares for me!

Sorry no blog but I find yours so fun! I hope I ccan enter the contest. The scariest movie I have ever seen is Exorcist. I hated it and had nightmares forever. Will never see it again. Thanks for such a fun giveaway. pj

Congrats to Frog Queen! I'd have to say what still scares me is Nosferatu. I slept with the covers pulled over my neck for a long time after first seeing it. For a movie made in 1922 it is still a scary classic. I don't remember seeing Dead Silence I'll have to look for that one. :)

Yay to the frog queen!

Bummer to me!

Scariest movie: oooh, I am not much of a movie watcher and with my brain issues....hmmmm, Jaws? It's all I can think of right now.

I will figure out how to get your button up on my blog but I am a computer bobo. I need techs like you have....

YeeHaaa! I did it! It's up on Pricilla's blog!

I am already a follower! I can't remember the name of scariest movie that I ever saw but I remember I was around 10 and it was about a scarecrow that came to life and murdered people. My cousin and I watched it and were so freaked out that when it was over we watched "The Muppet Christmas Carol" just to try and forget about that scarecrow!
Suzie said…
A big congratulations to the Frog Queen! I'm sure that she's doing a Happy Dance about now!

And I love your kitchen, and your view! I'm properly envious! lol

As for scary movies, I've never been a big fan. I'm too easily scared I guess, and it isn't fun for me. Each time I've thought, "It's only a movie, I'm a big girl now", I've had nightmares for weeks. I think that the scariest at the time, was Psycho.

I've put your drawing button on my sidebar and am going to link you in my blog!

The trip was wonderful, beyond words, but it is good to have you home again!

Hugs!

I don't really watch a lot of scary movies but my Husband and I both thought Titanic was pretty scary; all those peoplesicles bobbing up and down in the water.

I did watch Room 1409 the other day and thought it had a few shriek worthy moments
Divaeva said…
oooo - I almost forgot - my scariest movie is...*laughs* that is indeed a tough one because (as my friends say) I am warped - I love having the crap scared out of me...so much so that it's tough to do it! I like horror that could possibly happen...Devils Rejects with seriously sick and twisted people! Or something like that...
The Frog Queen is on a roll! She won a book on my blog!

Scariest movie...? The original Amityville Horror.

What a beautiful giveaway! The view from your kitchen window is gorgeous!!

The scariest movie I've ever seen is the Hills Have Eyes. The original one was so very creepy and the new one was quite gross and disturbing, so I can't pick which one was scarier for me.
This is an awesome giva away! And as I was watching our video from our trip the other night, I even commented when we were filming the store with these great pieces in Salem. I told my husband that I was mad at myself for not buy one while I was there. I say it every year. Next year...I will own one of these dang it. LOVE that store!

Have a great weekend!

Hi there,

Oh wow -- that apron and witch hat and those earrings... Awesome! Thanks for this great chance. :)

My favorite scary movie? Now that's a tough choice... I found all three "Scream" movies pretty scary, but the movie "Silent Hill" based on the horror game series is even scarier.

Happy Halloween,
Birgit

Congrats to the Frog Queen on the fall giveaway win.
Scariest movie to me is a three way tie for me:
Event Horizon, The Grudge and The Ring. All three scared me so bad I couldn't sleep for days after watching them. :-)

Hi Jaz....Ive been keeping up...Girl your busy busy busy. I posted a button to my blog for ya...

Scariest movie..... "The Shining"....I was 9 and my Dad was watching it on TV and I remember sneaking down the stairs. Getting right up behind his recliner and peaking around from the back to watch. It got the part with the lil girls and I stared got so freaked out by the music, eerie lil girls, and the whole way it was filmed...Up the stairs I went..Had nightmares for a week. And I was 9....but that movie freaked out my imagination to the point I never watched that movie again(except for that small clip) till I was 40 years old which was almost 2 years ago. I am a scorpio born the week of Halloween Nov 4th the end of the festivals. I feel vibes, instincts and things around me. I follow my gut all the time. Thats my scariest story, movie and nightmare...and the movie still freaks me out.

That apron is *WICKED*, I absolutely love it. It's perfect for a kitchen witch*crosses fingers* I made a post about it at my blog :3

I actually avoid scary movies, they tend to do weird things to me! The Child's Play movies always left me edgy though.

You have me so inspired to visit Salem, we've never been. Your blog is great.

The one movie that really messed with my head was the The Exorcist. When I was a kid I would plug my ears with my thumbs and cover my eyes with my fingers whenever the commercial came on. I didn't see it until they re released it a few years back, and it freaked me out. I just gave myself goosebumps thinking about it!

I'm trying to win your giveaway for my wife, she would love it. She's signing up for info about Salem on her computer as I type this.

I put your button on my blog

What a cute givaway! The scariest movie I have ever seen was "Phantasm" I don't know if it is still scary but I laid in the floorboard at a drive in with my ears plugged while my husband about ripped out the steering wheel...pretty scary at the time...but sometimes old movies aren't what you remember.

The scariest movie I ever saw (at the time) was Nightmare on Elm Street! All the other movies, you could avoid the bad thing - don't go in the basement, don't swim where there are sharks, don't go to Camp Crystal Lake. But sooner or later, you HAVE to go to sleep!

I am a follower and I'll be pointing people this way in a few minutes!
count me in for the giveaway! such cool stuff. i really want to go to salem.
that frog queen is very lucky - what a beautiful basket, i love the presentation!!
scary movie..the shining?
What a fabulous giveaway and I love your view from the kitchen!

The scariest for me was Poltergeist - I still get freaked out by the clowns...

Thanks for entering me in your great drawing..

Oh WOW! Talk about a divine apron. And the earrings are pretty spectacular too. (But YOU gotta keep the daughter. I have enough trouble with my own!LOL!)

As for the scariest movie- I was pretty freaked out after I watched the Saw & Cube movies. Twisted stuff for certain!.

Your trip looked amazing, and your home is beautiful. Thanks 4 the giveaway.

Congrats to the Frog Queen!

I would love to be entered for this one too, I already follow. Blogged about it, now just need to sort out the button.

My scariest movie would be 'An American Werewolf in London'. My aunt let me watch it when I was about 9, and I didn't get much except the guy was freaking out and deforming.

That or Children of the Corn. That movie is just freaky.
I'm following, and I posted about this fantastic contest. Scariest movie? Does a miniseries count? Stephen King's The Stand really freaked me out, especially the scenes at the beginning with all the people wiped out by the plague.
A beautiful view, that is some beautiful things offered and congrats to Frog Queen.
This is a lovely blog.

Or, it's too late in the evening and I've had too much wine. *chuckles*

Anyway, I blogged about it.
Cheers.
The scariest movie I have ever seen is *The Last House on the Left*. It was in the 70's at the drive in, I am 53 years old and have had nightmares ever since! Still! It was that disturbing!

Beautiful apron! I would love to win!

I Have been a follower for some time. The scariest movie i've ever seen was Ju-on, the Japanese version of the grudge. If you have never seen a japanese horror flick- I suggest you do, they are much more twisted than we are! A tale of two sisters was terrifying as well!

Wow, great apron and I loved the comment about your daughter! I have two girls myself, one being 16 so I understand...:)
I tweeted about your blog and am now a follower.
The scariest movie is....
Nightmare on Elm St. due to the creepy jump rope song.."one two Freddy's coming for you, three four, better lock your door"
aaagggg, I scared myself, lol.

http://zenwitchmommy.blogspot.com/2009/10/october-25-pumpkiny-goodness.html

Scariest movie? The problem is, I'm a scaredy cat and avoid horror movies at all costs! But I'd have to say that "Scream" got me because it wasn't about the undead or the dream realm... It was about a real human being as a serial killer. :::shudder:::
Please put my name in the hat for your drawing and I'll have it post later on blog.

Coffee is on.
I'm a regular follower and love your pictures from the most recent trip....especially Salem, one of my favorite places. The scariest movie would be the 1950's version of The Invasion of the Body Snatchers..when I saw it in the 50's. I still remember how scared I was after.

Hi I'm following your blog, what a cool giveaway! And the view out your window is awesome. I live in the desert of NV, and I really miss fall colors. We get some yellows here, but no bright reds like we got in MI where I grew up. :) I've also always wanted to go to Salem, it would be great to have a little piece of it.

Oh, yes, I'm following! Your blog is fun!

The scariest movie..Pan's Labyrinth. It's got your choice of nightmares! But for me the Pale Man was the worst of the lot. Gorgeous, deeply moving film. All kinds of mythical power. And then the Pale Man shows up, and I lose my sanity and weep like a child. Those *hands*....

Hello! I discovered your blog thanks to Goddess A Day making a post about this contest on her blog. And I'm so glad she did! I've been having fun exploring around here. Snagging your button, hope you don't mind. ^_^ Oh, and I have also become a follower. Look forward to hearing more!

The scariest movie I have ever watched...well i avoid scary movies for just that reason. I scare too easily. >.< I've heard that Paranormal Activity, in the theaters now, is absolutely terrifying. I would watch it with my boyfriend, but he refuses to because HE would be too scared. Umm...I saw exorcist for the first time last year on television, so it was cut. I was more apt to yell at the stupidity of the priest than anything. I saw Poltergeist on tv the year before, and that was rather scary...but while i lived under my parent's roof my viewing experience was limited to PG ratings and Disney. Oh, I've got it! Shaun of the Dead. Laugh at me if you like, but I'm personally terrified of zombies and a parody was the closest I could get--and even that made me scream bloody murder!

Hi, we popped over from Wendy's place..she described your blog as "wicked pissah", how could we resist? LOL! What a great outfit, love the earrings! Funny we were just choosing an outfit to make and ds1 wants to make a hat just like that for Halloween.

I really love your background leaves, just gorgeous and the kids are in love with your scarecrow! He is the cutest scarecrow we have ever seen. The kids reckon he won't scare the crows away though! He is too adorable! LOL

We also had a giggle at you not giving away the daughter "yet". ds1 rolled his eyes. Anyway we shall be following you from now on! Love your sense of humour!

Hello Jaz, I would love to be in your giveaway. And I know I've said it before but your photography is great! I started watching scary movies at about age 6 so I'm pretty hard to scare, but I saw the Exorcist in college and actually got so freaked out that had to leave the theatre, so that's my #1 pick. The Ring is pretty creepy too.
Yart said…
It use to be Phantasm but it has been replaced with any of the new zombie movies.... They aren't suppose to move that fast... they are suppose to be really slow so you can out run them... LOL!

I'm following your blog and I posted about your giveaway!!

My scariest movie is The Leprechaun! My parents and older brother were watching it in the living watching it and I was in the bedroom since they wouldn't let me watch it. Well, I kept sneaking in to ask my mom *important* questions so that I could see some of it. Later, I was in my room and my brother creeped up behind me. "All I want's me gold!" he wispered. Scared the crap out of me!! I've never wanted to see that movie again!!!
