The Ribs and the Macro

These ribs are long gone except for possibly a few lingering in the back of the Blog Techs frig! He I forgot to post the final pictures.

This was what they looked like when coated with the mustard and dry rub.

And this was that wonderful barbecue sauce that I made to brush on them towards the end of cooking.

They went into the BGE in a rib rack with the egg set at 250 degrees. They cane out 6 hours later.

Here is the perfect rib. You can see the pink smoke ring.

Served with potato salad and cole slaw they make a great memorial day dinner.

I have strawberries and I know the birds are watching them more closely than I.

No problem with the birds when they are this color!

One of the first tomatoes.

And another little tomato..errrr...really she is my pumpkin....or sometimes my little cutie patootie...whatever she was this morning she was having trouble staying awake.

Zzzzzzzz...

So where's the recipe for the secret sauce? Looks like something I'd like to try. Ribs are my favorite.
I desperately need to drown my sorrows about the Habs' two losses to the Flyers -- pass the ribs! Nom nom nom -- yes, it's emotional eating! I hope they make a comeback on home ice too!

I've never been big on ribs - but these look amazing.

Love the tiny, fuzzy peach!

I am actually salivating right now. And I already ate meat today, so it'll be alright if I go have some more...won't be as yummy as those ribs though...dribble dribble dribble

Jaz such amazing photos. It kind of helps me heading into winter to see the hopes for Spring summer your end of the world. I have some alpine strawberries that stay white so birds leave them alone. However they are not the same as the lovely red home grown ones. I am so tempted to buy some ribs and do this. I love ribs. Just wondering how one would cook them if one does not own a bbq rib thing or a bbq? thanks in hope.

lots of straberry leaves here, but no sign flowers :/ the odd weather we had i think has caused the strawberries to grow a little slower this year
