Here is one last cookie recipe for this season. I saved the best for last. Cut out cookies.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 large egg
2 tablespoons brandy
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Cream the butter and sugar, add the dry ingredients. Beat until combined. Add the egg, brandy and vanilla and beat until well mixed. Shape into a flattened round, wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out and cut into shapes. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes and cool on racks. Mix confectioners sugar with milk to make a smooth spreading icing. Frost and decorate.
