Candy Bread Recipe

This is so good and a great way to use up leftover bread.  Kids love it too.  I think it is best warm but my family liked it cold too.

The amount of this mixture depends on how much you are making.  I made 8 pieces and used 3/4 cup butter and 3/4 cup of light brown sugar.  Mix it togher until it is smooth.

Spread it on both sides of your bread.  Sturdier bread works best.

Place it in a nonstick pan over medium heat.  Cook it until it is golden on each side.

Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside.  Goooood!  Serve it wrapped in waxed paper.

I too can tell it would be seriously good - so good in fact I think I'm NOT going to make it. I envy your family's metabolism. Pass the celery sticks, please.

This sounds really good. But I would have to pass on it, unfortunately, sugar is too high right now. :/ xo

This is something I've never heard of :-) But I can easily understand why it tastes good :-) :-) :-) I guess this is perfect one of those days when I feel for something sweet but feels it's way to long to the store and don't feel like baking something :-)

Have a great day!

Okay, it's 11:34 pm EST, and I'm having a very difficult time not walking to the kitchen to make this. I have to make it for breakfast. Fine, I might wait until later during the day, but I can't promise anything. Yum!
