Southern Banana Pudding Recipe

For those of you who asked for this recipe, here it is.  I posted this a couple years ago but it is so good it is worth showing it again.  Make this 24 hours before you plan to serve it.  Buy some good old Nilla wafers.

Make a box of instant vanilla pudding.

The large size box.

Beat an 8 oz. block of cream cheese into the pudding.

Add a can of sweetened condensed milk.

You will need about 5 ripe bananas.

This is the pudding with the cream cheese beaten into it.

Place a layer of Nilla wafers in the bottom of your serving piece.

Top with the sliced bananas.

Mix 1 whole can of whipped cream into the pudding mixture.

Stir until blended.

Pour this mixture over the banana layer.

Top with remaining Nilla wafers, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

I often make this for the 4th of July and layer it in glasses and top it with fresh blueberries and strawberries or raspberries.  You can see it here:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2010/07/food-from-fourth.html

O.M.G. This is killing me! Oh you have no idea how much this hurts me. lol I have been following your blog for a while now, and have come to look up to you in regards to cooking. My husband loves many of your recipes, and they have become staples in our house.

But this recipe... It is like my idol has fallen from grace! lol

Southern Banana Pudding must be baked! And reddi whip?? It crushes my heart so heavily that you would use this, instead of whipping cream.

I just don't know if I can go on....

(by the way I am kidding. Well, almost. I really thought you would have baked yours. :)
