Blackberry Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake

I made this for the guys for breakfast the other day.  You can find the recipe here:  http://www.marthastewart.com/965160/cinnamon-streusel-coffee-cake   I added blackberries to it!
Spread half the batter in a greased tube pan.  Add the layer of cinnamon filling and the blackberries and then top with the rest of the batter.

Mix the crumble topping with a pastry cutter.

Sprinkle it on top of the batter.

Make sure you get it combined very well.  Next time I will use the food processor to blend the topping better.

Bake it and then cool it on a rack.

Turn it out onto a plate.

Drizzle it with confectioners sugar icing.  This is a very dense cake so a little goes a long way.

That could be something to make for our Friday coffe break. We always bring something on Fridays and share with each other. Looks yummy!

Have a great day!

Yum!! We get amazing berries up here. Can't wait to try the recipe.
Putting blackberries in the coffee was such a neat idea. I love a good sugary drizzle on my coffee cakes too.
