Aloha Rolls

Do you like those sweet Hawaiian rolls which are sold in your local grocery?  Now you can make your own by following this simple recipe.
Mix 1/2 cup of water, 2 egg, 1/2 cup of pineapple juice, 1/3 cup of sugar,1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract, 1/4 cup of melted butter and 2-1/4 tsp. rapid rise yeast.  Mix in 4 cups of flour and 1/4 tsp. of salt until you have a smooth ball of dough.  Cover and let them rise until doubled.

Form them into 16 balls and place them in a buttered pan.

Cover and let rise again until doubled.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes.

 Brush them with melted butter.

Remove them from the pan and let them cool on a rack.

These are delicious and are great for making ham sliders.

Never even heard about them :-) I love pineapple and I love meat but I don't love to combine them :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

Well for heavens sakes! But of course they would have pineapple juice in them. :) and yes, those are some of our favorite rolls in the store.
I'm make the spaghetti salad this weekend. I can't wait to try that either. Thanks for sharing such great recipes. My book is growing. :):)

Oh yum! The Hawaiian sweet bread came to us from the Portuguese. I love it! I'm lazy though. I just buy it already made.
