Practical Magic House

Though just out of the hospital and surgery, Teddy was ready for the trip.

Chows do not handle anaesthetic very well.

It takes them days to sleep it off. Poor Teddy had three of her legs shaved. Plus she has stitches on them. I was so worried because we are back in Skaneateles and it is very cold and covered in snow. I worried that her little bare legs would freeze. As soon as we arrived, I bought 2 pairs of heavy work socks. I cut the feet off of them.

Now Teddy has leg warmers.

They look so cute.

She seems to like them too!

She looks like Jane Fonda!

The mountains look very different than they did just 6 weeks ago.

Sorry for the bad angle but it is hard to photograph things while driving 75 mph.

This is the most magnificent farm I have ever seen. Click for a better look.

Ok...here it is....my next project.

I bought this dollhouse a while ago.

I am going to turn it into the house from the movie, Practical Magic.

Two women that own a dollhouse store in Chautauqua, New York are going to help me.

The house is wired and ready to go.

The first thing I need to do is paint it. then I will add the solarium. I hope to recreate the gardens as well.

I will pick an element from each of the Practical Magic rooms and try to recreate them in each room. Think of the possibilities? If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. I will have to make a miniature Practical Magic spellbook. Good thing I have the real one to copy from. This is going to be fun. Now I have to figure out how to shrink Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.
