Pigs for Puppies and Humans

Teddy was introduced to a new treat recently, organic pigs ears.

She asked what took me so long to find these tasty morsels.

Talk about keeping a puppy busy for a while!

Christmas came a little early for Teddy this year.  Does anyone volunteer to take it away from her?

This is The Blog Tech and his girlfriends favorite sandwich.....a Cubano.

These sandwiches can get very involved as I have shown before.  This recipe is a much less complicated version.  Brush pork tenderloins with dijon mustard, honey, s&p and some oregano.  Roast it in a 375 degree oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees.  Let the pork sit for about 15 minutes before carving.

Slice the tenderloins into very thin slices.

Return them to the roasting pan and toss in the leftover sauce.

Split some hoagie buns.  I made homemade but you can buy them if you want.

Spread them with yellow mustard.

Drain some sliced dill pickles.  Lay them on paper towels to absorb their juice.

Pile on slices of pork, thinly sliced ham and Swiss cheese.  Spread the outside of the buns with butter and place them in a heavy pan.  Put a plate on top of them and weight it down.  Cook until the cheese melts and the buns are browned on the outside.

Wrapped and on their way to Lara and The Blog Tech.
