Hamburger Buns

Today's picture post is below but for those who requested the hamburger bun recipe here you go:

3 cups all purpose flour

2 packets rapid rise yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 1/4 cup water

1 teasponn salt

2 tablespoons butter

1 beaten egg for glaze

sesame seeds

put flour, yeast, sugar and salt in the bowl of your mixer.  melt the butter and add with the water to the flour mixture. mix until a smooth ball forms.  the dough will be fairly soft.  cover and let it rise for an hour.  punch dough down and knead gently then divide into 8 equal balls.  shape into  hamburger shaped rolls and place on a greased cookie sheet and let rise for about 45 minutes.  brush gently with a beaten egg (i use melted butter) and sprinkle with sesame seeds or leave plain.  bake in a 425 degree oven for approx. 10-15 minutes until golden brown.  let cool on wire racks.  i double this recipe and freeze them in zip lock bags.  you just take one out whenever you want one. they will defrost in about 15 minutes or you can microwave them for about 13 seconds.  these also make great sandwich buns.  once you eat these the store bought ones taste like cardboard!  these make even mediocre hamburgers taste terrific.  go forth and create buns!!!!

These tomatoes popped up in a planter that was planted with other things.  They choked out the other plants and these are now thriving.  I have no idea what kind they are and the flower is different from all my other tomatoes.  Does anyone recognize this type?
