Lunch For The Shelter
I made a huge lunch for the shelter today.
I made lots of coleslaw.
Eight heads of cabbage went into this. I made 20 quarts.
Lots and lots of rolls.
200 to be precise.
And 4 of these babies. These took hours to slice. I ended up with 20 quarts of ham.
I even made extra glaze so the guys could sop it up with their rolls.
I mixed up 20 quarts of Cracker Barrel's hashbrown casserole.
And more rolls.
The casserole going into the oven which is still clean!
I was so sticky after carving all the ham.
This was a first for me and I have no idea what it tasted like but the smell....oh the smell!
My husband and The Blog Tech walked into the house and were like...when do we get some of the potatoes? I was like...you have to go to the shelter for lunch. They were like....damn!
