Chik-Fil-A Chicken Sandwiches

I was recently informed that one of The Blog Techs favorite snacks is Chik-Fil-A chicken sandwiches.  I highly disagree with Chik-Fil-A's politics and I prefer to make my own junk food so I can make it healthier than the food chains, so, I made him some.

I bought some slider buns, spread them with garlic butter.

The secret to this recipe is to marinate chicken breast pieces in dill pickle juice.  Put the pieces in a ziplock bag and pour in some dill pickle juice.  Refrigerate them for several hours or overnight.  You can see the tinge of color from the pickle juice on the meat.

Toast the buns under the broiler.

Pour a bit of oil in a heavy sauce pan.  You only need about 1/4 inch.  Heat it over medium high heat.

Season some flour with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.  Dip the chicken pieces in the flour, coating the entire piece.  Cook them until golden and drain on paper towels.  If the oil is hot enough these will not be greasy.

Place them on the buns and top them with some dill pickle slices.  These were really good.  Kids love them, even very big kids!
