I bought this new piece of redware with the twin crows.
I also bought this casting of a witch's spellbook.
And oh my...a new discovery! Shag bark hickory syrup!!! This is made from a Native American recipe. I never even heard of this before. The guy that makes it said he knows of no one else that produces it. And let me tell you....this is fantastic to say the least! If you love maple syrup, then you will adore this. It is hard to describe other than to say it takes maple syrup to a whole new level. I also bought strawberry syrup and rhubarb syrup. I have not tried them yet but I expect they will be wonderful too. I see waffles in my families future.
I bought this cast pumpkin and these cute little guys from a vendor at the fair.
I got these morels from the same vendor. These are huge. The biggest one is about 18 inches high. ( I guess I do have some erectiles!)

You might recognize the witch from last year. She is out again with the glass pumpkins I got a while back. Time to start recording the seasonal changes by looking through my kitchen window and observing the maple tree.
I brought out all of my Staub pumpkins.
These make me smile each time I look at them!
I put out a witch vase and my pumpkin nightlight.
The spellbook and the crow plate reside with the other redware.
I made this autumn tree/topiary for my daughter. When I sat it here to photograph it I thought....hmmmm, look like it belongs here. I might have to make her another! This old apothecary cabinet is German. Click to see the names of all the herbs and spices on the drawers. I bought this in Charleston, SC years ago. I fill the drawers with the big old fashioned sized candy bars from my youth. When I have company, both young and old go through these drawers picking out their favorite treats. A very high ranking political figure once walked out of here with his pockets filled with candy bars. Sometimes it works better than stuffing their pockets with money.
There are very similar topiaries in Martha's new Halloween line for about 4 times what it cost me to make this one.
