2 Week Slaw

I got this recipe from a new blog I just started following and it is so good that my husband just told me to never make any other slaw. He said that he has eaten a lot of coleslaw in his life and there is no comparison. This is the best. Check out Nellie's new blog: This is the perfect for those who do not like mayonnaise.

We are guessing it is called 2 week slaw because it could last that long in the fridge but I doubt that it ever has.

This is what you will need.

Chop up one head of cabbage and place it in a bowl.

Dice 1 large onion and 1 green pepper and add them to the cabbage.

Sprinkle 1 cup of sugar over the veggies. DO NOT STIR!

Pour 3/4 C. of canola oil in a pot. Add 1 C. cider vinager, 1 tsp. of celery seed, 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard (or 1 tsp. dried mustard powder) and 1 tablespoon of salt.

Bring this to a boil.

Pour it over the vegetables and sugar. DO NOT STIR!

Cover it with plastic and refrigerate overnight.
