Swedish Dill Rolls

These are very good rolls!

If you have fresh dill growing in your garden, this is a great way to use some of it. These are perfect rolls to serve with summer meals.

Saute' a diced onion in 2 tablespoons of butter until it softens. Mix in 1/3 cup of cream cheese.

Pour 1/2 cup of water into your mixer bowl. Add 1 tsp. of salt, a beaten egg, 2 1/4 tsp. rapid rise yeast and 1/3 cup of chopped fresh dill.

Add the cream cheese and onion mixture. Add about 3 cups of flour and beat until you have a nice smooth dough.

Place the dough in a greased bowl and allow it to rise until double in bulk.

Nice dough.

Pinch of golf ball sized pieces and place in a greased pan and allow to double again.

Bake at 375 degrees until golden on top.

Remove from the pan and let them cool on a rack.

These make delicious hamburger buns too. Sort of like having your pickle in the bun!
