Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf

I bought ground meat at a very good price and made a rare treat for the shelter....meatloaf!

First I made a huge pot of gravy.

I strained out the solids and ended up with 14 quarts.

The meatloaf was a combination of ground beef, pork, Italian sausage and lots of vegetables.  You can find the recipe here:

To make them a bit fancy I topped them with a lattice of bacon.
I also made an avalanche of mashed potatoes and immediately forgot to take a photo.  I've never made so many mashed potatoes in my life.  I could hardly stir them. I made about 20 quarts.

Aren't they cute?  And huge?  Each one had 10 pounds of meat along with all the other ingredients.  They are sitting on large cookie sheets and they barely fit.

Now that is a meatloaf.  I made three. They took 3 -1/2 hours to bake.
And 6 loaves of bread.  I took it there for lunch today which is when the shelter feeds the main meal.  I also made another huge batch of banana pudding which I also forgot to photograph.  There were lots of happy guys when The Blog Tech and I walked in there this morning.
