A New Way to Cook Corn on the Cob

 I saw this recently on pinterest and could not wait to try it.  It promised juicy, easy to peel corn and claimed the silk would fall right off.

 It works!  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.  Place the corn with husks intact on the oven racks and bake for 30 minutes.

 Remove it and peel back the husks.  The silk sticks together and peels right off with the husk.  Instead of boiling flavor out of the corn, it holds in the heat and steams it making it sweet and juicy.  Much easier and better than any other way I have ever prepared it.

 The Blog Tech and I were in the garden at sunup this morning.  He is keeping a close eye on everything for his salsa.  He can't wait to have his first ingredients ready to pick.  We have been collaborating on a recipe.  It is fun to garden with someone who is doing it for the first time and seeing it through his eyes.

 Then we dove into making my zucchini casserole for the shelter.  Here is the recipe:

 This is a terrific old fashioned recipe that even people that don't like zucchini gobble up.  We made so much and it was so hard to mix that a large metal spoon broke while stirring it.

We made about 40 quarts of it.  I can't wait to hear how they guys liked it.
