Crack

When I was leaving the mission the other day, a cute young guy very sheepishly asked me if I also bake.  I took this as a request and since I had to run there yesterday, I made a bunch of batches of crack.  I've posted this before, but for those who missed it, this is really good stuff.  I don't really consider this baking but I had the ingredients and you can easily make large quantities of this quickly.  And I know, I shouldn't be taking crack to homeless people.  However, when I told them what it was called, they all thought it was hysterical and as I left they were all yelling back and forth...."we have crack".
Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray and cover it with unsalted matzoh crackers.

Melt 2 sticks of butter with 1 cup of light brown sugar.

Bring it to a boil and boil it for 3 minutes.  Do not stir.  Pour it over the crackers and place it in a 350 degree oven and bake it for 15 minutes.

As soon as you remove it from the oven, sprinkle it with 2 cups of chocolate chips.  Let it sit for 5 minutes.

You can see the chips melting.

Spread the chocolate over the top.

I made some with a mix of chocolate and peanut butter chips.

Some were sprinkled with chopped nuts.

I did one pan with white chocolate chips.

After they cool, crack them into pieces.

Here is a funny story.  I saw this one old guy.  He did not look too good.  He had no teeth and probably has done more than his share of meth for one lifetime.  I asked him if he tried a piece.  He said he had but he threw it out when he saw it had nuts on it.  I asked him if he was allergic to nuts.  He said no, his doctor told him they weren't good for him!
