Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Frosting

 What screams Fall more than pumpkin and maple?  These rolls are scrumptious.

Pour 1/2 C. of milk and 1/2 C. of water in the bowl of your mixer.  Add 2-1/4 tsp. of rapid rise yeast.

Add 1/4 C. of melted butter.

Add 3/4 C. of pumpkin puree and 2/3 C. of granulated sugar.  Mix to combine.

Beat in 5-6 cups of flour until you have a nice ball of dough.  Place it in a buttered bowl, cover and let rise until doubled.  It will take about 1 hour.

While the dough is rising, mix 2 T. melted butter with 1/4 cup of maple syrup, 3/4 C. packed brown sugar, 2 T. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. of nutmeg.

Mix this until you have a paste.

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a 24 X 12 inch rectangle.

Spread it with the paste.

Roll it and slice it into 1 " thick slices.

You can bake these in either round pans or use a 9 X 13 pan.  Grease the pans first. Cover and let them rise for 30 minutes.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes.

Mix 2 C. of powdered sugar with 1/4 tsp. of vanilla extract, 3/4 tsp. maple flavoring and 3 T. milk.  Drizzle the glaze over the tops of the rolls.

Pour a big glass of milk and enjoy!
